Longleng, November 18 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Longleng conducted Farmer Scientist Interaction at Auching village, Sakshi block on November 12.
The interaction programme was based on sensitization of women in agriculture and measures to strengthen the role played by women groups in increasing the socio economic conditions of the farming families. Resource persons stressed the importance of forming small women groups and engage themselves in activities like post harvest processing to increase economic value of the family and the village through different livelihood activities.
The programme was chaired by Mhonthung Merry, Dy.PD , and Lanuakum Dy. PD ATMA . The resource persons were Dr. Lily, SMS Animal Husbandry KVK and Dr. Roshan SMS Horticulture KVK.
