Mokokchung, July 11 (MExN): With an aim to improve the prevailing production and management practices followed by the farmers, Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Ongpangkong (North) block, Mokokchung organized training on ‘piggery management’ at Chubayimkum village on July 11.
Resource person Dr. Sentila, VAS, gave a brief introduction on importance and advantages of pig rearing, highlighted on the management practices such as housing, feeding, general care and management of breeding sow, diseases and importance of vaccination etc.
The technical session was followed by discussion, where various queries on general health care and management of pigs were put forth by the farmers, informed a press release.
A total of 22 farmers were provided with free medicines such as de-wormer, vitamins and skin ointments by ATMA Ongpangkong (North).
