Mokokchung, January 23 (MExN): The Department of Sericulture, Mokokchung held a training-cum demonstration for the stake holders of Mokokchung district on Muga culture, under Integrated Sericulture Development Project (ISDP) NERTPS 2015-16 at the District Sericulture office Mokokchung from January 19 to 21.
The programme was inaugurated and addressed by Alemkumzuk, District Sericulture Officer Mokokchung. The District Sericulture Officer gave a brief account on the project and technical issues of mugaculture and its economy. He also stated that regarding development of plantation as per operational guideline given by central ministry the stakeholders should avail the benefit from their job card under MGNREGA programme.
The technical session was conducted by Aojungshi, Extention Officer and Immonger Sericulture Supervisor on package of practices and hygiene management on silkworm host plant cultivation and silkworm rearing. Altogether fifty farmers participated in the programme.
