‘Westside’ launches first lifestyle store

The nation’s favorite trendy departmental store “Westside” was launched in Dimapur today offering a one-stop shop for inspirational fashion. The store offers exclusive brands in women’s wear, menswear, kids’ wear, footwear, lingerie, cosmetics, perfumes and handbags, and accessories.
This launch is a significant achievement because it marks the entry of organized retail in the State with one of the most reputed retail market leaders in the country. Known for its superior merchandise at affordable prices “Westside” was established in 1998 as part of the Tata group, Trent Ltd., one of India’s largest and fastest growing chains of retail stores.
Announcing the launch, Kley Enterprise in a press note stated its vision to create a business of value and contribute towards ushering transformation in our State by opening our market and economy through collaboration and bringing in the biggest global companies to foster trade, investment and employment generation for our local youths.
Kley Enterprise is a Nagaland based business venture, founded by four cousins’ namely Kezhawhetuo Pusa, Lhouvi Mezhur Sekhose, Elivil Pusa and Yanpvuo Kikon. The founders of Kley Enterprise also believe in continuing the legacy of their grandfather, the visionary Samuel Mezhur Sekhose who was an educationist and the only Indian to receive the British Empire Medal (BEM).
It was also mentioned that it took more than nine years of persistence, effort and hundreds of emails to convince the best market leaders to enter Nagaland wherein finally the team from Westside visited Dimapur in 2012 for a market survey and feasibility study. After numerous business meetings, the franchise was finally offered to Kley Enterprise. The project team completed the project in an old building to create a state of the art shopping area within a year and completed the project in June 2016.
The opening received fantastic response from people. Maintaining its signature style, the store in Dimapur is spacious with well-designed interiors at prime location making it a most sought-after fashion destination. The Westside Dimapur store is located at Midland, near ICICI Bank.
