Mokokchung, July 10 (MExN): A farewell programme was organised in honour of Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung outgoing principal, Helen Jamir on July 10.
According to a press release issued by the FAC, Information and Publicity Cell, Helen Jamir joined the government service as Lecturer, Department of English, FAC on July 1, 1986. During her service she was promoted and posted as Principal, Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire. Later she was transferred as Principal, FAC and served the college till her retirement.
The farewell programme was chaired by Mesutoba Ao, HoD, History chaired the programme. Special song was presented by Limasenla Y Jamir and Nukshimao, Faculty, Physics Department. Farewell speeches were delivered from the Vice-Principal, FACTA, Non-Teaching Staff, FACSU and IQAC. The speakers commended Helen Jamir on her sincerity and devotion rendered to the institution, especially the enormous overall development achievements in which the College vision and transparent working system opened up during her brief session as Principal, which had included preparation for the all-important third cycle of the college UGC-NAAC Peer Team visit.
In her farewell speech, Helen Jamir thanked all the faculty, staff and students for their loving support and encouragement throughout her service and especially as the Principal of the college. She admitted that she concludes her career with a deep sense of fulfillment that completes the full circle of life.
