Fazl Ali College (FAC) Mokokchung kick started its annual Sports Week at the college’s ground, Chuchuyimpang village on February 28.
Gracing the brief inaugural programme before the commencement of the sports as the guest of honour, FAC Vice-Principal Vinod Kumar called for a disciplined event and noted that sports event should invigorate strength, unity and friendship within the students’ community and wished all the teams the best.
Asensor Jamir, General Secretary, FAC Students’ Union (FACSU) gave the welcome address while the oath taking was initiated by Sentichuba Jamir, Assistant Games & Sports Secretary, FACSU.
The Mokokchung District Martial Art Association showcased martial arts during the inaugural.
The Sports week will feature various outdoor and indoor games as well as indigenous games. The competition will be held among four houses: Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, Air Nomads & Water Tribe.
The event will conclude on March 1.
