Mokokchung, July 14 (MExN): The Fresher’s Day programme of the Fazl Ali College (FAC) was held here today at the College Auditoriums with pomp and gaiety where the fresher’s were given warm welcome into FAC family.
Addressing as the special invitee, Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem, President Imkummeren encouraged the gathering not to confine oneself to their own small world but to be brave and venturous to take risks. One should change their mind set if one wants to succeed in life, he added.
“We are the youths, so we need to question ourselves whether we see the future that we in-vision and are we contributing for it” added Imkummeren.
FAC Student Union, General Secretary Temjennaro Jamir, welcomed the fresher’s and encouraged them to be come forward and be a part of the Family.
Chubayangla the Principal of the College, in her speech advice the students to respect not only the teacher but also the non teaching staff; she also encouraged them to ‘listen but also question’.
One of the highlight of the day was annual crowning of Mr. & Mrs. Fresher’s. Sentiakum and Lipokrenla were scalped the coveted title after a tough tussle among the top 18 contestant.
The programme which was chaired by Bendangnungsang and Rongsenchila also witnessed a welcome song by hostellers of Cool Creek Boys and a special song by Nungshikala.
Atsungpong Longchar addressed the crown on behalf of the fresher’s.
