Kiphire, October 26 (MExN): As per the representation submitted by the Citizen Welfare Society Kiphire (CWSK) addressed to the Assistant Director Food & Civil Supplies Department Kiphire, in regard to anomaly of Public Distribution system (PDS) at Kiphire Hq, the joint co-ordination meeting between CWSK and F&CS Kiphire along with 11 ward union Chairman was held on October 4 at DC Conference Hall Kiphire.
During the meeting, several issues pertaining to PDS was discussed and after a thorough deliberation the meeting came to a conclusion that “F&CS Department Kiphire will recover 2057 bags of BPL and AAY rice to the beneficiaries as other items like Sugar, APL were not received as mention in the UC.”
“Further, it was assured that from now on the Department will deliver the PDS judiciously in the District,” stated a press release issued by Media Cell CWS, Kiphire.
As an outcome of the meeting, AAY and BPL was issued to beneficiaries on October 6 and 24 in presence of CWS members at Kiphire. The CWS while appreciating the department further caution that CWS will keep vigil in the interest of the general public and hope that the F&CS Dept Kiphire will implement the PDS judiciously even in the future.
