F&CS Nagaland informs on general household scheme

Dimapur, September 24 (MExN):  The Directorate of Food & Civil Supplies, Nagaland has issued a circular detailing the eligibility criteria for the General Household (GHH) scheme under the Tide-over scheme. 

The scheme is aimed at citizens and indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland with an annual income above Rs 2.50 lakh who are not covered under the NFSA's AAY (Antyodaya Anna Yojna ) and PHH (Priority Household) schemes, it informed. 

The circular also highlighted that the eldest female in the family (18+ years) will be named the head of the family for the issuance of the ration card.  If no eligible female is available, the eldest male will assume the role.

Aadhaar cards for all family members must be submitted along with applications in the prescribed format by September 30, 2024, it added. 

As per the State DIPR, the circular also informed eligible persons to contact their District Food & Civil Supplies Office, Dimapur for further details regarding the issue.
