Festival of colours celebrated at Raj Bhavan

Governor pray for peace, harmony, progress and prosperity in the State

Kohima, March 2 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya and his wife, Kavita Acharya celebrated the festival of colours with all the officers and staff of the Raj Bhavan secretariat and their families at Raj Bhavan Kohima on March 2.   The Governor and the first lady extended Holi greetings and had breakfast with all those assembled on the occasion. They interacted with the children, families and staff and had pictures taken with them. They also wished the staff and their families’ good health and happiness in the coming time.  

The celebration was also attended by Vivela Club members from Kohima. On the occasion, the Governor Acharya prayed for peace, harmony, progress and prosperity in the State.  

Governor attends Holi Milan

The Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya attended the Holi Milan at Gorkha Public Panchayat Complex, Chandmari, Kohima on March 2.  

Addressing the gathering, Governor Acharya said that India was a democratic country and unity in diversity was the peculiarity of the Country. Stating that the colourful festival strengthens fraternity and togetherness amongst the people and spreads peace, prosperity in the society, he called all to build a New India which is prosperous, strong and free of communalism, casteism and terrorism under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. “Be proud that we are Indians,” he added. The Hoil Milan was organised by the Hindu Samaj Kohima. The programme was also attended by DGP, Nagaland Police, Rupin Sharma, IPS and Addl PCCF, Ved Pal Singh, IFS.
