CM Rio under Home Quarantine 


Kohima, July 30 (MExN): Few persons in the Nagaland Chief Minister’s Residential Complex have tested positive for COVID-19 and as safety precaution, CM Neiphiu Rio is under home quarantine, according to an update from his office. 

The Office of Chief Minister (CMO) informed on a Twitter update that the “complex is being sanitized and the residential office closed for 48hrs.”

“Few persons in the Chief Minister’s Residential Complex have tested positive for COVID-19. All SOPs are being implemented. The complex is being sanitized and the residential office closed for 48hrs,” it said, without specifying the numbers.

The normal functioning of the CMO is continuing following all guidelines, it added. 

Meanwhile, the CMO further said that as a safety precaution, the Chief Minister is under home quarantine.

Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) has been put in place for primary and secondary contacts, it informed. 

However, the CMO in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat is functioning normally, it added.
