FGN affirms to support ongoing talks

Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): The authorities of the NNC/FGN on October 4 unanimously reaffirmed the resolution adopted at the 66th Tatar Hoho to support the ongoing talks between the GoI and the NNPGS.


This was resolved during a joint meeting held under the leadership of Brigadier (Retd) S Singnya, Kedahge, FGN and Senka Ao, Vice-President, NNC on October 4 at the Oking.


As per a press release issued by Ministry of Rali Wali Affairs, FGN, the house stated that “there is no human problem in the world which cannot be resolved if there is sincerity, resolute will and strategic effort to solve it.”


The house recalled and appreciated the vision and achievement of the Naga pioneering leaders, who constituted Nagaland as a Republic on March 22, 1956 by establishing the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) and formally adopting the Yehzabo (Constitution) of Nagaland on July 25, 1968. The Yehzabo of Nagaland, based on the Naga practice of pure Democracy and which is the only mandated constitution of undivided Nagas has aided in the functioning and policy formulation of the Nagas for more than 50 years, the release stated.


The house also resolved to entrust Senka Ao, Vice-President NNC with the responsibility of leading the NNC as the Acting President till the election of the President by the CEC at its general session.
