DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 3 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), Ao Region and Rengma Region have condemned the reported unlawful meeting held at K. Basa Village on September 23 in the name of the emergency Tatar Hoho without the consent of the Kedahge and has termed it as ‘unconstitutional.’
In separate press statements, FGN Ao Region Midan Peyu, Lipok Chuba and Daniel from Rengma Region said they are not a party to such event and announced that they uphold the plebiscite of May 16, 1951 which endorses the Naga Independence declaration on August 14, 1947.
The two regions also pledged to continue to work in support of Naga sovereignty under the leadership of Gen (Retd) Thiloselie M Keyho and Namrikiu, the acting Kedahge of FGN.
