DIMAPUR, JANUARY 19 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has clarified that the ‘Sumi Region Government’, Federal Government of Nagaland under Akavi Chishi, the interim Midan Peyu of Sumi Region was “dissolved” on September 27, 2023 and published in local dailies consequently.
“That action resulted due to his expulsion from the NNC/FGN because of his conspiracy in the unconstitutional meeting to destabilize the NNC/FGN on September 23, 2023 at K Basa Village called by Künüchosa Rhakho, the then speaker of Tator Hoho, FGN who was also expelled,” a press release from FGN Secretary, Thonkiubui stated.
It however said that “despite these facts, it is very unfortunate that Akavi Chishi and his accomplices internationally extort the innocent public unabatedly in the name of the NNC/FGN up to today in Dimapur and Niuland areas which is an antinational activity inviting explanatory actions upon himself.”
“Our people especially the Sumi community must understand these facts and stop cooperating with him for your own benefit and the larger interest of the community. Necessary further steps shall be initiated against all anti national characters in the society,” the FGN said.
