Dimapur, June 28 (MExN): Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has mourned the demise of K Raikha, a senior Tatar of FGN who passed away on June 28. FGN Kedahge Gen (Retd) Viyalie Metha in a condolence message stated that K Raikhan from Talui village of Wung Region, Nagaland joined national service in 1962 and served the Nation in various capacities in the Region and later nominated as a Tatar (Member of Parliament) of FGN in 1970.
“He steadfastly served the nation as a senior most Tatar till his last breath. He was a dedicated leader and a true patriot. He was a recipient of 'Certificate of Appreciation' and 'National Service Award A.' He was a nonagenarian,” it stated.
His sudden demise was a great loss and a vacuum for the nation and community. Yet his true sacrifice and patriotic services rendered to the Nation shall always remain alive in the history of the Nation. “May the Almighty God give peace and prosperity to the bereaved family members and relatives. May the departed soul eternally rest in peace,” it implored.
