Dimapur, February 4 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) through the Ministry of Killo (Home) Affairs has issued an “official clarification regarding reports of the Naga Army uniting on a common ground between NSCN (K) Major General (Retd) Ang Mai and NNC/FGN Brigadier (Retd) S Singnya Kedhag, at Shaplao Shao Village under Lahe Township, Myanmar.”
Selithre Sangtam Killo (Home) Secretary FGN in the clarification said, “it is categorically stated that the NNC/FGN, under the leadership of Brigadier (Retd) S Singnya Kedhage, has never authorized or entrusted any individual or entity to engage in discussions at the government level with any political groups, particularly those that have not entered into a ceasefire agreement with the Government of India.”
“The viral news circulating in both print and social media regarding an alleged meeting at Shaplao Shao Village, Lahe Township, Myanmar, on 14th January 2025, between NSCN (K) Major General (Retd) Ang Mai and NNC/FGN Brigadier (Retd) S Singnya Kedhage is entirely false, misleading, and without any official sanction,” it stated.
“The Federal Government of Nagaland considers such reports null and void,” it added.
