
Kohima, August 1 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has mourned the demise of Thepupra Yhosa of K Basa Village, Chakhesang Region who passed away on July 31 at his village.
He joined in National Service on June 6, 1956 and served the Nation in different capacities till his last breath. Yhosa served in the following capacity: Captain in Naga Home Guard; Razou Peyu of Chokri Sub-Region, Chakhesang Region, FGN; Accountant in Japfii State, FGN; Regional President of Chakhesang Region, NNC; Mayam Riyam, FGN till his death.
“He was nonagenarian. He steadfastly served the Nation till his last breath. His untimely demise was a great loss for all of us. Yet his true sacrificed rendered for the Nation will remain alive in our hearts and in the annals of the Naga Nation,” Gen (Retd) Viyalie Metha, Kedahge, FGN stated in a condolence message.
The FGN conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members, relatives and friends and prayed that Almighty God may protect and grant them solace and peace at this hour of grief. “May the departed soul eternally rest in peace with God,” he added.
NNC: Naga National Council (NNC), President, Adinno Phizo in a condolence message stated that Thepupra Yhosa held different capacities in NNC and FGN “sacrificing his life wholeheartedly for the Naga Nation, so that upcoming generations to have a better future.”
“His untimely death is a great lost for the Chakhesang Region and the Nagas in general which is irreplaceable. He was one of the senior most National workers who served the Naga Nation till his last breath. His National service rendered for the Naga Nation will always remain in the minds of the Nagas,” Adinno Phizo stated.
“May the Almighty God grant solace to the bereaved family members and dear ones. And may the departed soul rest in peace,” she added.
