KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 12 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) led Brig (Retd.) S. Singnya, has issued a directive warning one Atovi Chishi, former Lecy Speaker and Deputy Kilonser of the Sumi region, against fraudulent tax collection.

According to an MIP statement from T Loyem, Kilonswer, Raliwalil, the Azha issued under Ref-No/K/25/031/dated 25th March 2025, Atovi Chishi, who was terminated from his post with effect from March 26, 2025 under Article 31 of the Yehzabo of FGN, has been found collecting taxes from businessmen and traders by falsely representing himself as an FGN official.

The FGN directed Atovi Chishi to cease all such unlawful activities immediately and disassociate himself from using the name of the Nagaland Naga Council (NNC) or FGN under Brig (Retd.) S. Singnya.
