Dimapur, October 28 (MExN): The Midan Peyu of the Rengma Region on Monday stated that it convened a joint meeting on October 28 with all the authorities of both civil and Naga Army officials at the regional level to discuss the present issues within the NNC/FGN government.
The Region after deliberation on the issue unanimously resolved without reservation unflinchingly support and stand with the leadership of Brig (Retd) S Singnya, the Kedahge, Federal Government of Nagaland (NNC/FGN), stated the press release issued by Gwasinlo Tep, Midan Peyu, Federal Government of Nagaland. The Region also denounced the impeachment of Kedahge by Zhopra Vero Kedallo/Vice President that appeared in local newspapers on October 21 as “unconstitutional.”
NNC/FGN Sangtam Region: The NNC/FGN United Sangtam Region has declared “Zhopra Vero’s Press and Statement” that appeared on October 21 in local Newspaper and “impeachment of Brig (Redt) S Singnya Kedahge as null and void” as it was beyond the Yehzabo of Federal Government of Nagaland.
The declaration was made after a long discussion and deliberation during a meeting at Kiphire on October 27, said a release issued by Sepikyu, Medan Peyu United Sangtam Region FGN. Therefore, the United Sangtam Region announced their stand to the Naga People that “the house unanimously extents its full support to the leadership of Brig (Retd) S Singnya Kedahge (President) NNC/FGN.”
The Region reiterated “commitment to the sovereignty of Nagas upholding the May 16, 1951 plebiscite NNC/FGN under the leadership of Brig (Retd) S Singnya Kedahge,” it added.
