‘FGN/NNC Sept 23 decision unconstitutional’

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 27 (MExN): In yet another twist, FGN killo kilonser Zaleo, ‘acting Kedahge,’ on Wednesday issued a rejoinder on the withdrawal of support to NNC president Thinoselie M Keyho, which appeared on a section of the local dailies. It also termed the allegation of Vekronü Dozo, Kedahge, FGN being forced to resign by the president of NNC as ‘unfounded, totally false and baseless.’

It further condemned  the “unconstitutional and anti-national meeting” of September 23 meeting called and conducted by the speaker of the Tatar Hoho, Künüchosa Rhakho, which it said violate Article 61 of the Yehzabo.

“It is not a Tatar Hoho but treated as a meeting of conspiracy and anti-national activity to disrupt the FGN and the NNC by 6 from Chakesang region, 2 from Sumi region, 2 of Pochury region without region govt. consent and 2 privates from Konyak region out of 17 recognized and affiliated regions in FGC/NNC. Can that be a Tatar Hoho of FGN/NNC? Under such a circumstance can anyone conclude that the outcome of that meeting is the mandated voice of the Nagas?” the rejoinder questioned.

The FGN killo kilonser claimed that there is no provision in the Yehzabo of Nagaland for the speaker to call an emergency Tatar Hoho except through procedure and convention. “Such an ultra-ire and unconstitutional meeting cannot remove the NNC president, Gen (Retd) Thinoselie nor elect TS Keyho as the president of the NNC. This is the responsibility of the Central Executive Council of the NNC,” it asserted.

It also maintained that there is no means to elect Gen TM Rhakho, C-in-C of Naga Army to be the Kedahge, FGN since Namrikiu is the incumbent acting Kedahge, FGN w.e.f. September 11, 2023 on the acceptance of the resignation of the Kedahge, FGN Vekronü Dozo,

Terming the declared announcement of the ‘ultra-ire’ meeting as “out rightly null and void in the fold of the NNC and FGN” while referring to the Lakhuti Resolution of April 27, 1955, it announced that legal proceeding has been initiated against all erring individuals who “conspired and participated in the said meeting with imposition of befitting penalties as per provisions of the Yehzabo” during an emergency Tatar Hoho meeting held on September 27.

In this regard, the FGN killo kiloner informed  that TS Keyho, former vice president NNC; Vekronü Dozo, former Kedahge, FGN; Künüchosa Rhakho, former speaker, Tatar Hoho; Gen. T.M. Rhakho, former C-in-C, Naga Army; Brig. Kükno Khüsoh, former GOC, SC, NA; Trovüsa Dozo, former president, Chakhesang Regional Council, NNC;  Hetoi Tuccu – Tatar, Sumi Region have been expelled from NNC/FGN indefinitely.
