
Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): 54 (fifty four) officers and cadres from the NSCN (Reformation), led by their Finance Kilonser A. Longkhuh and Army Chief Major General Khamhi, have joined the NSCN (IM) along with arms and ammunitions.
A press release from the MIP informing this termed the en-masse joining which included the top brass “a major boost to the ongoing Naga political talks” adding that it will strengthen the “framework agreement”.
A select delegation of "home-comers" met the collection Leadership and members of the Collective Leadership on August 6 at New Delhi where the latter heartily welcomed them, the release stated.
Apart from the Finance Kilonser and the Army Chief, the 54 “home-comers” included a Tatar, a Rajapeyu, a PRO, 2 Khapurs, 3 Regional Members, 3 Lieutenant Colonels, 1 Major, 6 Captains, 6 Lieutenant, 9 (nine) 2nd Lieutenants, 10 Sgt. Majors, 2 Sergeants, 3 Corporals and 4 L/Corporals.
Finance Kilonser Longkhah and Chief of the Army Maj. Gen. Khamhi speaking on behalf of the group stated that they have joined to support the “Framework Agreement”. Further, they honestly appealed the others to follow suit, the MIP release stated.
