Wokha, November 17 (MExN): The third and final leg of Janata Darbar/public meetings initiated by the Local MLA and Advisor for Horticulture Mhathung Yanthan was held on November 10 and 11, which was held in all the villages under 39 Sanis constituency.
According to a press release from Chumbemo M Patton, Public Relations In-Charge to Advisor Horticulture, the Advisor accompanied by the Chief-Engineer Er K.G. Sumi and Addl Chief Engineer PHE Er Repang Longkumer, Director Horticulture Dr. R.Elithung Lotha and other Senior Officials from various departments attended the meeting.
The officials made the villagers aware of the initiatives undertaken by the Government under various schemes of their respective departments.
Advisor Mhathung chaired the public meeting on November 11 where issues faced by the villagers were discussed. Erring officials not performing their duties were asked to perform diligently lest action were initiated against them. The Village administration, Women Hoho, Students Union were also encouraged to be more proactive and mediate to bridge the gap. The Advisor further encouraged the government officials, village administration officials and the villagers to voice their grievances for redressal on paper by reaching out to him through proper channels.
On November 12, the Advisor accompanied by the village administration officials, GBs and others visited Primary Health Centers, government schools, official quarters. The Advisor assured to take up issues at the right platforms.
