KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 1 (MExN): The Department of Art and Culture of Nagaland has issued a final reminder to all rural libraries registered under its purview to submit their details in the prescribed format by November 30, 2024. A DIPR report informed that failure to comply will result in automatic cancellation of their registration as NGO Libraries.
This requirement, in line with recommendations from the Raja Ram Mohan Roy Library Foundation, Kolkata, is essential for the recognition and renewal of libraries, which will be periodically assessed for their functioning and services.
Additionally, all NGO libraries must register in the NGO Darpan system of the Government of India (https://ngodarpan.gov.in/), with the unique ID included in their submissions. This reminder follows earlier notifications issued earlier this year.
