DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 22 (MExN): In the backdrop of the demonetization move by the central government, the Nagaland State Finance Department today issued an office memorandum directing all Administrative Heads of Departments and Heads of Departments to ensure that till such time these restrictions are lifted, all government payments are made through cheques, drafts or transfers through RTGS/NEFT to ensure that activities of the State Government are not affected. In the case of payment of salaries, it asked that necessary steps be taken to instruct all the employees to furnish details of their bank accounts, in case not done yet, so that salaries may be credited directly to their accounts. Government employees who are yet to open their accounts may be instructed to do so immediately to facilitate payment of their salaries, it added. The memo further informed that if difficulties are faced, they may be brought to the notice of Finance Department.
