Mokokchung, September 23 (MExN): With an objective to promote financial literacy/ inclusion, a one day Financial Literacy Camp (FLC) supported under FIF managed by NABARD was conducted at Mekuli village on September 23. It was organized by Care and Support Society, Mokokchung in collaboration with Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Ltd. Mokokchung and sponsored by NABARD.
The programme was chaired by Imchawati Kichu, Managing Director, Care and Support Society, welcome address was delivered by Imnawati, Chairman, Mekuli Village Council.
During the programme, S. Amarjit Mangang, DDM, NABARD shared on the role played by NABARD in financial inclusion. He further explained in detail regarding Farmers Club, SHG, WCC & JLG Programme and role of NABARD in creating critical infrastructure in the district.
Meanwhile, Temsulepden, Assistant Branch Manager & In-charge FLC, NSCB Ltd, Mokokchung highlighted the importance of banking, savings, financial planning. He pointed out the various financial services offered by the banks for the general public. He further explained the PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY in details.
