Property worth nearly Rs 99.04 lakh destroyed
Dimapur, September 5 (MExN): A fire broke out in the garage of the Nilli Nissan Showroom in Purana Bazar, Dimapur on Saturday morning.
On receiving a fire call at 7:50 am, Fire & Emergency Services mobilized a quick response team from Fire Station Dimapur (Central) to control the fire, a press release from the department informed.
The cause of the fire was reportedly due to short circuit.
The garage of the car showroom was gutted and property worth 99.04 lakh (approximately) was destroyed.
However, due to timely response, property worth over Rs 2.5 crore could be salvaged and the fire personnel prevented the fire from spreading. The fire was contained within 40 minutes, the release added.
