DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 21 (MExN): Around three hectares of forest area was destroyed by a fire inside Nagaland Zoological Park, Rangapahar on the North Eastern side of the Park on February 21, at around 12:30 PM.
A press note from the Officer in Charge of NZP informed that the fire was brought under control and extinguished with the assistance from the fire brigade, Park Staff and personnel of 1st NAP, E- Coy and 9th IR, F- Coy. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained, it added. The note informed that the blaze did not harm any of animals, however some vegetation was destroyed.
