Fire destroys truck, property worth Rs 40 lakh in Tuli

Mokokchung, January 8 (MExN): One Dumper (Ashok Leyland) Truck was gutted and property worth Rs 40 lakh was destroyed in a fire that broke out at Ahati, Tuli on January 7.

According to a press release from the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) Nagaland, on receiving fire call at 2:06 pm, Fire and Emergency Services mobilized a quick response team led by Duty Commander ASI Noklangsangba from Fire Station Tuli to control the fire.

Two fire tenders along with sufficient equipment and fire personnel were pressed into action and within 40 minutes, the fire was reportedly contained.

There was no casualty in the fire which is suspected to be from a short circuit in the vehicle wiring, according to the release.
