DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 7 (MExN): The firm in charge of construction works at the NH-2 (Botsa to Wokha two-lane Road) has assured that the road would be completed by 2020.
Project in-charge of DK Engineering Consortium Private Limited Firm, General Manager, Ajay Kumar informed this to the Nagaland State Deputy Minister, Y Patton, who had undertaken a surprise visit to the worksite on November 7.
Deputy Chief Minister Patton, who is also the in-charge of National Highways, during his interaction with the firm official, urged for early completion of the road widening and construction works.
Patton said that National Highway 2 is one of the major highways and economic lifelines to many district in Nagaland State, adding that people are facing untold hardship due to the pathetic condition of the said road.
The firm’s General Manager informed that road excavation began on December 7 and added that road construction would be completed by December 6, 2020.
The NH-2 road construction covers a 32.4km stretch from Botsa under Kohima district till Wokha town.
