
Kohima, November 26 (DIPR): Valedictory function of mid-career training for NCS & NSS officers was held at Administrative Training Institute, Kohima on November 25 with Joint Secretary & Additional Director ATI, Kevekha Kevin Zehol (NCS) as the guest of honour.
Kevin lauded the resource person, Krishna Menon, IAS (Retd.) and his team. Urging the officer trainees, Kevin asked them to continue to perform their respective duties against all odds with the spirit they have inculcated through the training.
Krishna Menon expressed his happiness over the cohesive and disciplined attitude of the NCS & NSS officers throughout their training. He also appreciated the hospitality of the Naga people in general and the ATI faculty in particular. “Five days spent at ATI were the most interesting times of my life,” he said. Resource Person, Moumita Talukdar expressed her gratitude for the facilities provided to them and also hoped the officers would apply what they have learned from the training during their duties.
ADC Pughoboto, Avelu Ruho thanked Kevin Zehol for initiating the first ever mid-career training. She admitted that the zeal to perform their duties tend to diminish with time and posting from one place to another and that the training came at the right time to get re-energized.The training sessions, she added, were interesting and thanked the resource persons for the patience they had shown.
Section Officer, Longerkaba said it was a long cherished dream fulfilled after fourteen years to have such training at ATI since his NSS training in 2002. He expressed appreciation to the Chief Secretary and ATI Director for the training. Taking the example of the trees he planted at ATI in 2002, he mentioned that the teachings on ethics, leadership and others he acquired through the training were deeply rooted in him and added that the training will bear fruits through his works.
Joint Director ATI, L. Youdang Jamir chaired the program. Director, Ministry of Defence, Prachish Khanna ITS, HR- Administrative Head of IBIS Solutions, Kolkata, Rajib Bal, Deputy Director ATI, Dr. Hovithal Sothu, OSD Finance, K. Vezo, Section Officer, Andreas, Deputy Director ATI, Er. N. Moa Longkumer were the resource persons during the five-day training.
