Kohima, June 23 (MExN): The First General Body Meeting (GPM) of the Kohima Press Club (KPC) for the tenure of 2019-22 was held at the conference hall of NSF on June 22, committed to working for the welfare of the fraternity.
A press release issued by the KPC stated that during the meeting, “the house resolved among others to strengthen the KPC Family, to expand its sporting activities by taking part in inter-State media sporting events, to organize Seminars, to visit counterparts in other States in the region and to work for the security and welfare of the members of the club.”
“KPC President Alice Yhoshu, while welcoming Members in the First GBM of the Club for the tenure 2019-22, recalled the works of the Founding Members of the Club for their far-sighted visions by setting up the Club eighteen years ago. She acknowledged the works, contributions and dedications of the past leaders toward the growth and development of the Club and also stated that they would always seek guidance and advice from the seniors while working for the welfare of the fraternity,” the press release added.
The KPC in their press release stated that the audit report of KPC from June 24, 2018 till May 29, 2019 was also presented in the house by KPC Audit Committee Member, Kuzhovesa Soho and it was approved by the House.KPC Member Oken Jeet Sandham also moved “Amendments” of many Clauses under various Articles of the Constitution of the Club and KPC General Secretary Atono highlighted about the KPC Membership drive and further reminded that the Drive would be from June 22 to July 22, 2019. She further informed that the ‘Renewal of Annual Membership’ Fee is fixed at Rs. 500 while the Registration Fee for fresh Membership is fixed at Rs. 1000.
