 
                          
                  
Mokokchung, July 27 (DIPR): A Surgery team headed by Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Martsuden had successfully conducted a Total Hip Replacement (THR) surgery on a 41 years old (Male) at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), Mokokchung on July 26.
According to Medical Superintendent IMDH, Dr. Medem, the surgery was the first of its kind at IMDH. He said he had full confidence on the surgery team which involved 4 doctors 2 technicians and nurses and shared his happiness towards the team for successfully conducting the major surgery which he said was indeed another feather for the IMDH. The leader of the surgery team, Dr. Martsuden said that the patient had Arthritis Hip problem when he was just 7 years old, and post operation his right leg was shorter by 3 inches. He said the patient after suffering for 34 years finally came forward to have the surgery done was a big decision.
Mentioning his gratefulness towards the doctors, nurses and technicians involved in the surgery for giving their best and making the surgery a success after almost three and half hours, Dr. Martsuden also mentioned that it was through the encouragement and relentless support given by the Medical Superintendent IMDH, Dr. Medem, that he and his team had decided to take the bold step of conducting the major surgery.
