Five key functionaries of BJP Nagaland resign from party

Dimapur, June 24 (MExN): In a major development, five key functionaries of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including its former State General Secretary and Spokesperson K. James Vizo, have resigned from the party.

The others are Khehoshe Sema, former District Minority President Dimapur; Kikohul John Kulnu, former State Executive Member; Chumbemo Ezung, former State Secretary; and Rosy Yanthan, former State Vice President, BJMM President, and National BJMM Executive Member.

In a joint letter to the State President of BJP Nagaland, the quintet informed that they are “resigning from the BJP party with effect from 23rd June 2025 on personal grounds.”

The five functionaries also expressed “sincere gratitude” to the party for giving them various opportunities and experiences over the decades, starting from the District level and the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM)/Bharatiya Janata Mazdoor Manch (BJMM) State level, and as State BJP office bearers in various capacities under different State Presidents.

“It has been a great honour and privilege for us to work for the BJP Nagaland under several talented and dedicated leaders at both the State and National levels,” the letter stated.
Attributing the party for grooming them into “fine political workers” and for many valuable lessons and experiences, they also wished the party continued success in the State of Nagaland in the days to come.
