Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): Five NCC cadets (two girls and three boys) of Nagaland (NCC Group-Kohima) were among the 57 NCC cadets of North East who attended the Republic Day camp in New Delhi from December 18 to January 29.
A press release received here stated that three of the cadets, SUO Mengutsino Nakhro, JUO Talisungit Ozukum and CPL Bakon Chingshong are from St Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama under 1 NL Girls’ BN NCC and 24 NL (I) COY NCC, Kohima respectively, and SUO Shalo Tsela from Kohima College, Kohima under 24 NL (I) COY NCC and LCPL Neikesano Kuotsu from Patkai Christian College, Chümoukedima under 1 NL Girls’ BN NCC, Kohima.
SUO Mengutsino Nakhro and SUO Shalo Tsela took part in cultural events and Prime Minister’s Rally March-past, and JUO Talisungit Ozukum was the placard bearer of NCC North Eastern Region Contingent in PM Rally March-past.
CPL Bakon Chingshong was in All India NCC Boys’ Contingent for Rajpath Armed March-past on January 26 and LCPL Neikesano Kuotsu was in All India NCC Girls’ Contingent for Rajpath Armed March-past as well as in Flag Area and PM Rally, it stated.
