Fixture drawn for 8th Zasinihu Memorial Trophy

The Western Angami Students’ Union (WASU) has drawn the fixture for the upcoming 8th Zasinihu Memorial Trophy-cum- 2nd WASU Women’s volleyball tournament 2025.

The tournament will take place from November 6 to 8 at Sechiima Mechii Dzie under the aegis of WASU and Sechiima Students’ Union as host.

Kethosituo Sekhose, Director, Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland will be the inaugural guest while Er Imliakum Sanglir, SDO (C) Sechü Zubza will be the closing guest.

Participating teams
Altogether, 15 teams have confirmed their participation for the football event and 8 teams for women’s volleyball. For football event, the teams will include; Khonoma Students’ Union, Kiruphema Students’ Union, Zasivi FC, Sechiima Students’ Union, Mezoma Students’ Union, Mengujuma Students’ Union, Outliers FC, Sechii- Zubza Students’ Union,  Jotsoma Students’ Union, Saiko FC, Young Excels, Thekrejuma Students’ Union, Phoenix FC, Terhiipourie FC Mezoma and Mezo Town FC.

Volleyball event will feature; Sechii- Zubza Students’ Union, Khonoma Students’ Union, Mengujuma Students’ Union, Kiruphema Students’ Union, Sechiima Students’ Union, Thekrejuma Students’ Union, Jotsoma Students’ Union and Mezoma Students’ Union.

Prize Money
The champion will get Rs 50.000 while runner up will receive Rs 30,000.
Semi finalist will get Rs 10,000 each.
Player of the tournament, highest scorer and best goalkeeper will receive Rs 3000 each.
In women volleyball, the champion will get Rs. 20,000 while runner up will received Rs 10,000.
Player of the tournament will be awarded with Rs 3000.
