The all-new Hyundai Verna was officially rolled out at Floyd Hyundai car dealership located at Purana Bazaar, Dimapur on March 23.
It’s new variants include, 1.5 EX, 1.5 S, 1.5 SX Manual & SX IVT, 1.5 SX O Manual & SX O IVT for the regular petrol engine. While 1.5 SX Manual & 1.5 SX DCT, 1.5 SX O Manual & 1.5 SX O DCT are available for the turbo engine.
Santosh Das, Sales Manager, stated that ever since its first launch in India back in 2006, the Hyundai Verna was a highly aspirational model that truly captivated the ambitions of India. Year on year the car has been a strong performer, representing strength, performance and ingenuity.
“For over 17 years, Hyundai has continued to set new benchmarks with verna by introducing new innovative technologies for new age India,” he said. Highlighting the features of the new model, he mentioned that the car has a spaceship inspired design with considerable cuts, creases, angles and was longer in length than the previous model.
“One of the major changes that have been done in this car is in the wheel base due to which the interior space of the vehicle has increased,” he added. The car comes with Hyundai smart sense level 2 ADAS for safety and convenience and includes, forward collision warning, forward collision avoidance assist, lane following assist High beam assist, vehicle departure alert, rear cross-traffic collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist among others.
It will also feature three different transmission options- 6 speed manual, IVT & 7 speed DCT as well as a standard warranty of three years which can be extended up to seven years. There are seven colour options to choose from namely, titan grey, tellurian brown, fiery red, atlas white typhoon silver, abyss black and starry night.
In terms of the price of the vehicle, the verna starts an introductory price of Rs 10,89,900 (ex-show room) for the EX-variant and goes up to Rs 17,37,900 for the SX O turbo variant.
D Jambo Sema, District Transport Officer, Dimapur who was invited for the launch programme noted the affection customers in Nagaland had for the Hyundai brand. Being an old customer himself, he praised the performance of its cars and mentioned that the verna model is among the best for Hyundai.
Besides these, he stressed that the primary focus of all car dealerships should be on prioritising their customer service above all else.
According to Das, Floyd Hyundai sells between 40-45 cars per month on an average with the Creta and Venue models making up 60-70% of its total sales.
