A “flush out” operation was conducted in Kiphire town by combined forces of the paramilitary, police personnel with the district administration, DBs and GBs and town councilors today. A police official said the operation was conducted according to the cease fire ground rules, to evict the underground factions from civilian areas. The official also mentioned that the operation was “successful” and will continue. The flush out operation which started early in the morning is still going on. There has been no untoward incident till the filing of the report.
