FNR continues Journey of Common Hope with Concordant signatories

Dimapur, November 3 (MExN): The Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) has informed that signatories of the ‘Naga Concordant’ met on November 3 at Bade, Dimapur, on its Journey of Common Hope. Today’s meeting was attended by the highest leadership of the NSCN/GPRN and GPRN/NSCN. Unable to attend due to time constraint and long distance, the NNC/FGN, sent their apology. 

NSCN/GPRN General Secretary Th. Muivah, GPRN/NSCN General Secretary Kitovi Zhimomi, NSCN/GPRN Chairman Isak Chishi Swu and GPRN/NSCN Chairman Gen Khole Konyak seated together during a high level meeting at Bade, Dimapur on Saturday.

While their commitment to Naga Reconciliation remains undeterred the meeting affirmed to strengthen and renew their commitment to each other grounded on the “Historical and Political Rights of the Nagas”. The FNR urged the Naga groups to respect one another and uphold common belonging through mutual trust and solidarity at this crucial period of the Naga history. The FNR also emphasized the need to have further meetings soon.  

Meanwhile when contacted, an FNR member remained tight lipped and refused to divulge any specific information on today’s meeting. However it was informed that the meeting was positive and that the FNR was looking forward to the process ahead.
