Dimapur, July 27 (MExN): The EAC cum Administrator Chumukedima Town Council Thejavizo Nakhro has directed all concerned food businesses - hotels, restaurants, bakeries etc – operating under its jurisdiction to register and obtain FSSAI license under Food Safety and Standard Act, 2006 from the office of the CMO, Dimapur at the earliest. It is in the the interest of the public service and as per a July 17 directive of the office of the Chief Medical Officer cum Designated Officer, Dimapur with regard to FSSAI license and registration under FSS Act 2006, the EAC said in a notification. “Non – compliance to this order shall invite penal actions as per Food safety and Standards Act 2006 and Nagaland Municipal Act 2001,” it added.
