‘Food for Security’ COVID-19 Relief Prog in Dimapur continues

St Thomas Mission Society Dimapur and MGOS Church distributed food kits with essential items to COVID-19 lockdown affected families of Dimapur on July 12.

Dimapur, July 13 (MExN): St Thomas Mission Society Dimapur and MGOS Church distributed food kits with essential items to COVID-19 lockdown affected families of Dimapur on July 12. This is the 12th phase of 'Food for Security' COVID-19 Relief Program. 


Mission Society Secretary, Fr Dr P S Varghese and Rev Fr Gemcy Eappen lead the distribution along with Church Managing Committee members and women volunteers of the church. 


The Secretary in a press release said that the mission has been made possible with the contributions of Mithin Mathew, Col Tarun Nauni, Saidur Rahman and other well wishers and especially Manish Aggarwal for helping to deliver the kits. Meanwhile, students of MGMHSS and craft teachers for the past two months have been engaged in making paper packing for the kits.  


In the latest phase, a total of 60 beneficiaries including all MGM staffs and students were benefited. Till date, the Society has distributed 900 food kits and it “intends to continue the philanthropic work in the coming weeks.”
