Food processing training in Mon underway

Mon, January 30 (MExN): District Administration, Mon in collaboration with Can Youth and KNSK and Sponsored by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) started food processing training at Council Hall, Mon town on January 28.
During the inaugural programme, a DIPR report stated that SDO (C) Mon, Illika Zhimomi said the training aims to promote entrepreneurial skills and livelihood opportunities for the young girls and women. The Skill development and income generation initiative for women is in need of the hour in the district and with the food processing training, it will start income generating at home and community as well. She also encourages the trainees to take seriously and work hard to complete the course.
Chief Functionary, Can Youth, Jenpu Rongmei and Advisor to KNSK Lamlin Konyak also spoke during the programme. Krishna Gogoi, Marina Rongmei and Marnungla Tzudir were the resource persons for the training. Altogether, 38 persons have been registered for one month training which will be culminating on February 28.
