Kohima, March 14 (MExN): With the endorsement and blessings of the Rengma Sports Association for formation of a football association for Tseminyu district, Football Association Tseminyu District (FATD) has been formally formed on March 13 at New Terogvunyu village, with Benlo Thyu as acting president and Asao Seb as acting secretary along with 6 other members.
The FATD has chosen ‘Teamwork, Grit & Honour’ as its motto.
The team will lead and facilitate the process of structuring and organizing the association; initiate affiliation of the FATD with the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) as well as prepare the ground works for participation of Tseminyu District team in the upcoming Dr T Ao Inter-District Trophy 2022 to be hosted by Mokokchung District Football Association in April 2022.
Meanwhile, selection trial for Tseminyu team is scheduled to be held on March 18 and 19 at Rengma Sports Association Ground, Tseminyu Old Town.
