DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 13 (MExN): Lhouchalie Viya, Secretary to Youth Resource and Sports Government of Nagaland inaugurated the newly constructed FIFA standard size football ground measuring 120 yard long by 80 yard wide at Middle Khomi Village on November 12.
Viya congratulated the village for taking up the project and completing the cutting and levelling works within a short span of two months through its own effort and resources. He also stressed on the point that in the present day, it’s hard to find a village that will work with its own funding for such a huge project and that it is only through the unity, honesty and dedication of the leaders that has brought the project to a success.
He also encouraged the youth to take up sports as a profession as there are many scope through games and sports today.
The area also has a provision for a 400 metre race track and various other disciplines. The newly constructed play ground is set to host Centre Chakhesang Games and Sports meet in January 2019.
