Organised by the ‘Forerunners’ under the aegis of Mokokchung District Art and Culture Council (MDACC), Miss Mokokchung 2019 will be held on November 19 at Town Hall Mokokchung.
Under the theme “Empowering Beauty,” a total of 13 contestants will vie for the title of Miss Mokokchung 2019.

The ‘Forerunners’ led by Imlibenla Wati as the Convenor will have a team with Sashinungla Nathan and Imsulemla Aier as the Grooming mentor; Show Director - Adang Jamir; Official Designer- Arenla Imchen and Jonny, Make-up Artist.
The organizer in a press release said that “The blossoming of radiant and intelligent women today inspires and propels us to make this prestigious event the Mega Event in the district of Mokokchung and essentially playing a momentous role in providing a defining platform of shaping their future.”
“With a clear aim and objective of empowering women by instilling a sense of equality, for the first time in the history of the beauty pageants in Nagaland, The Forerunners will be arranging and presenting the costumes, attires and gowns to all the promising contestants therefore obliterating the focus on the status and background and solely accentuating on the tenets of beauty and personality,” Imlibenla Wati stated.
“In the past years, Mokokchung has been excelling in the field of beauty pageants and has brought many laurels to the district as well as the state. The Forerunners along with some of the most promising former queens from Mokokchung and all the teammates are determined to bring back the past glories. Thus, putting efforts by supporting and grooming the girls in the best way possible,” Imlibenla Wati added.
