Our Correspondent Kohima | October 4 Forerunners 4th NAP, Thizama and G. Sporting Club Dimapur today registered wins in their respective matches at the ongoing 18th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2017 here. A hat-trick from Kezhose Mathew saw Forerunners beat Putu FC Zhavame 5-1. Agou Lenthang and Purakum were the other goal scorers for Forerunners. The lone goal for Putu FC came though Vincent. In the other match, two goals from Vitsizolie Nagi helped G. Sporting Club edge Foster FC 2-1. Vizosie-o Metha scored for Fosters FC. Earlier, on October 3, Nagaland University Meriema Campus and Nagaland Police (Red) won their respective matches and moved into the pre-quarter finals. Playing the first match of the second round, Nagaland University Meriema Campus defeated Kigwema Students’ Union 2-0. Chumechamo and Machiplung were the two goal scorers. In the second match, Nagaland Police (Red) beat Upper Bayavü Colony 3-0. Ninja Golmei netted the first goal while Lima scored the other two.
