DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 21 (MExN): Chen-nyiem Konyak, former Konyak Union General Secretary, correspondent-cum-special secretary to President TMPO (ENPO), former candidate from 45 Tehok A/C, a social worker and a keen observer of Naga political struggle made a public declaration informing of his decision to join the GPRN/NSCN under the leadership of President Gen. (Retd) Khole Konyak and Gen. Secretary N Kitovi Zhimomi.
“I do hereby declare that, responding to the call and the ‘Naga Concordant’ and heeding to the inner call of my heart, has decided to join GPRN/NSCN to assist and shoulder the responsibility of the Naga political struggle under the leadership of President Gen. (Retd) Khole Konyak and Gen. Secretary N Kitovi Zhimomi. On my own volition, I will render my humble knowledge and my remaining years in the service of the Naga Nation with commitment and loyalty”, stated the declaration issued by W. Chen-Nyeim Konyak through the MIP, GPRN/NSCN.
The declaration also pointed out that he had no grudge against any faction, group or election opponents. “I feel God has been gracious to throughout and wants me to serve the Nagas meaningfully. I am thankful that my childhood dream has become a reality”, the declaration stated. The former KU General Secretary has also thanked his loyal comrades from his native village Chen Wetnyu who were formerly in Khaplang group but have decided to follow him in serving the nation under President Gen. (Retd) Khole and Gen. Secy. N Kitovi. They are Capt. Mankon; Sgt. Maj. Nokton; Sgt. Noke; L/corporal Nyemi; L/corporal Nokshok and the following New Recruit Take, Yakon, Angto and Manlap. The declaration has also decided to support and work for the formation of National Government on this day the 21st October 2011.
