Foundation stone laid for ZAPO building

Pfutsero, April 29 (MExN): The foundation stone for the community building of Zuketsa Area Public Organization (ZAPO), Pfutsero was laid at Pfütsero Town by Nagaland Congress Pradesh Committee (NPCC) President, K Therie on April 26.

This was followed by Tsükhenye festival celebrations of ZAPO, Pfütsero at Pfütsero Town sports complex, where Therie was the Festival Father, a press release from Therie’s press secretary Keso Chakhesang informed.   Thanking the Netho Ketshe public for their selfless and unflinching support through his political career and asserting that “our ancestors spoke one language and sang one song,” Therie urged the gathering to “respect our ancestors to whom we owe all that we have today.”   He maintained that the present society is forgetting past culture and heritage. Therefore, he called upon all, particularly the younger generations, “to protect our language and our culture which are our identity.” He also appealed to the gathering to respect each other and to work harder to unite Netho Ketshe.   “Today’s society is no longer confined to one village,” Therie said and encouraged the gathering to “extend our hand to our neighbouring villages”.   Later in the day, Therie inaugurated Organic Marketing Shed at Lasumi village which was also followed by Tsükhenye celebrations where the seven clans of the village hoisted their respective flags bearing a colour each from the rainbow signifying peace, love and unity, the release stated.
