Four arrested with ganja

Kohima, June 16 (MExN): Four persons were arrested for transporting contraband ganja by personnel of Sechü (Zubza) Police Station on June 16.   A press release from SDPO/PRO (South), Kohima Police informed that the Sechü (Zubza) Police Station had received information from the Youth President of Jotsoma Village on June 16 around 5:30 am that they have detained two persons along with one Maruti Gypsy bearing registration No. NL07C-0129 for transporting suspected contraband ganja. However, another Maruti Gypsy without registration number which was accompanying the detained vehicle managed to speed away.   On receiving the information, police team from Sechü (Zubza) Police Station sprung into action and after long pursuit intercepted the vehicle at 10th Mile Road, Kohima.

  During search, the police personnel recovered approximately 160 kg of contraband ganja worth Rs. 8 lakh in the street market and arrested four persons identified as Joypaul Sane (20), Vinie Kho (19), Elvis Ruh (26), and Kasaso Khou (46), all from Senapati, Manipur, the release said.   A regular case vide Sechü (Zubza) P.S Case No. 0012/2016 U/S 20(b)(c) NDPS Act R/W 192/196 MV Act 1988 has been registered against the arrested persons.
