DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): Four athletes training out of The Combat Academy Nagaland participated in the recently concluded X1 International Mixed Martial Arts MMA event in Shillong on September 22 and 23.
A press release informed that from the team, Mairidin Newmai beat Purushottam Prabhakar from Mumbai in their Bantamweight 61.3kg bout via submission (rear naked choke) at 2 minutes 30 seconds of round 1.
Matsung Ozukum lost to Carnold Marboh from Shillong in their Flyweight 57kg bout via majority decision.
Arsenba Ozukum beat Bibet Warjri from Shillong in their Flyweight 57kg bout via submission (rear naked choke) at 1 minute 19seconds of round 1.
Meanwhile, Kekhrieneitso Angami beat Winner Talang from Shillong in their Featherweight 65.7kg bout via submission (rear naked choke) at 1minute 43 seconds of round 1.
