Four Public Accounts Committee reports presented in NLA session

Kohima, March 12 (MExN): Kropol Vitsu, member of the Public Accounts Committee (2025–2026), on Thursday presented four reports of the committee during the eighth session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly at the Assembly Hall in Kohima.

Vitsu tabled the 143rd Report of the Committee on Public Accounts (2025–2026), which deals with the action taken by the government on the observations and recommendations contained in the 136th report of the committee on the Comptroller and Auditor General of India report for 2018–2019 relating to the performance audit of select district hospitals.

He also presented the 144th Report outlining the action taken by the government on the 137th Report of the committee, which had examined the C&AG’s State Finances Audit Report for the year 2019–2020.

Further, the 145th Report was laid before the House, based on the committee’s examination of the C&AG Audit Report for 2020–2021 on the State Finances Audit Report.

This was followed by the presentation of the 146th Report, which is based on the committee’s examination of the C&AG Report for 2021–2022 on Social, Economic, General and Revenue sectors.

The reports were tabled during the ongoing Assembly session as part of the committee’s mandate to review audit findings and monitor the government’s response to the observations and recommendations contained in the audit reports.
